Mary Rodgers studied Fine Art and Textiles at High Wycombe College of Art and Design, and pursued a career as a textile designer before moving to the East Midlands, where she began to paint as well as to teach adults and children.
Langton Studios, where she teaches and paints, is in the pretty Leicestershire village of East Langton. From here she has built up a national reputation for light filled landscapes, still life, and highly acclaimed paintings of flowers and gardens. She directs and tutors art courses in all mediums throughout the year, and the beautiful landscaped garden [another passion] is an inspiration to her students.
Her pictures are in collections both in the U.K and overseas.
